◎简 介
刚刚获得提升的经验丰富的纽约警察局的老警探凯斯·弗雷泽丹泽尔·华盛顿似乎并没有太多值得庆祝的，因为在他周围萦绕的腐败丑闻始终令其感到厌恶。然而，对警探事业的多年追求仍促使着他为这一行尽心尽力着。尤其是他那分独特且惊险刺激的人质交涉工作谈判专家更是令他心驰神往。
此时，弗雷泽与老搭档比尔·米歇尔接到命令，迅速赶往一处案发现场，那里疯狂的抢匪刚刚劫持了人质与警察对峙着。而且，劫匪的头目就是这一带远近闻名的银行抢劫犯达尔顿·拉塞尔克里夫·欧文。狡猾的抢匪达尔顿在抢劫败露时顺手劫持了一名人质作为自己的临时挡箭牌。正当弗雷泽与搭档正试图与匪首拉塞尔沟通时，在现场的还有来自ESU紧急营救部队特战小组的人员在上尉约翰·达鲁斯威廉·达福的指挥下正准备一套严密的武装营救计划。然而，狡猾的拉塞尔似乎看破了警方的计划，迅速做出了反应，使得警方的营救计划无法实施……

从主演到导演、从导演到制作人：丹泽尔·华盛顿、斯派克·李、朱迪·福斯特以及布赖恩·格雷兹，哪个都可以用巨星和金牌等响亮的词汇来形容。尤其是斯派克·李和丹泽尔·华盛顿，两位惺惺相吸的黑人巨星此次已经是第四次联手大银幕了。前三次分别推出的《爵士男女》、《马尔科姆X》以及《单挑》都曾取得过相当不错的成绩。尤其是《马尔科姆X》更让这位黑人奥斯卡影帝拿到了欧洲三大奖项之一的柏林国际电影节的影帝荣誉。不过，近年来丹泽尔·华盛顿似乎始终无法摆脱影帝魔咒的束缚，一直没有太过出彩的表现示人。此次携手黑人大导演斯派克·李，亦是想拼尽全力冲破魔咒，走出时运不佳的窘境。另外，影片还找到了金牌制作人布赖恩·格雷兹《周末午夜光明》、《飞行计划》以及即将问世的《达芬奇密码》倾力加盟，想必，丹泽尔与斯派克势在必得。
此外，好莱坞才女朱迪·福斯特和戏路愈加宽广的克里夫·欧文也将为本片助阵。去年，国际航班上，“为寻找亲生女儿”而大演惊悚戏的朱迪再次令所有喜爱她的业内外人士眼前为之一亮。朱迪·福斯特的深厚功底也着实令人们敬佩。14岁时便凭借《出租车司机》中的小雏妓一角，拿下了令无数人艳羡的奥斯卡女配角奖的朱迪。此后在好莱坞的星路颇为顺利。1988年《控诉》中遭性暴力的女子让朱迪使出了浑身的解数，再一次让她拿到了奥斯卡影后的小金人。1991年的导演处女作《我的天才宝贝》充分显示了她对母亲的那份感激和信任。同年的一部《沉默的羔羊》使她三度折下了奥斯卡桂冠。在影坛休息了一段时间的朱迪，在近两年重新焕发了光彩，此前的《漫长婚约》让人们再次领略了这位才女的不减风姿。这也是自《战栗空间》之后两年多的大假以来的又一部惊悚大作。此次，携手老影帝丹泽尔·华盛顿以及名导斯派克·李可谓是意图明显。如今已是人到中年的朱迪堪称高调“复出”，而事业的第二春已是近在眼前……
还记得去年的春季的那部“影后影帝”强强组合的作品《翻译风波》吗？那部号称首次探密联合国内幕的惊悚悬疑大片最终却落得个险些收不回成本的惨剧。而且，当时那部影片的导演也相当的有来头，西德尼·波拉克，同样受到过小金人照耀的重量级人物。不过谁也不会想到，那部影片至今似乎已经在人们的脑海中淡忘许久了。
而，如今，又一部颇为相象的作品在极为相同的时间上映。而此次，影帝影后加著名导演的超强组合再次登场。不过，笔者深信在这个春天，决不会再次上演往日的“滑铁卢”一幕。因为本片从剧本到制片、从演员到导演，整体都充斥着相当优异的气息……
